| 82 | Harris "Aviator" Welding Outfit | 12/28/2006 |
| | Santa came dressed as a UPS guy this year. ...and made me sign for my present. In the package were 12' hoses, flashback arrestors, regulators, tips 0, 1 and 2 and the Harris Model 15 torch handle. They even threw in a striker. Son provided goggles, tip cleaners and a brush. All I need now are the tanks and some gas. ...and a metal cutting bandsaw. |

| 81 | Test Fitting Parts | 12/27/2006 |
| | I got the steamer going and fired up the heater in the shed. While waiting I decided to slip a few rips on a piece of spar and see how well the ribs fit. It suddenly struck me that I had made progress and soon I will have a wing. It's always satisfying to see progress. Man hours: 0.5 |

| 80 | Rib #14 Done | 12/27/2006 |
| | Back-gusseted #14, then steamed #16 and placed in the bending jig. The top of #15 is in the jig ready for the bottom and internal braces. One thing I noted when I put 5 ribs on a 6 foot spar section was how light it all was. Hard to believe it's strong enough to hold up a 600+ lb. plane. Man hours: 1.5 |
| 79 | Rib #14 Gussets on Christmas Eve | 12/24/2006 |
| | Spent an hour out in the shop with my son to keep me company whilst applying the first side of gussets. Man hours: 1 |
| 78 | Rib 14 | 12/22/2006 |
| | Cut all pieces for #14 and steamed the top capstrip for #15. No gussets tonight. That will have to wait until tomorrow. Man hours: 1.5 |
| 77 | Rib #13 Done | 12/20/2006 |
| | Glued the gussets on the back of the rib. While working on the gussets I steamed up a capstrip for tomorrow. It's 33 degrees out in the shed, 70 with the heater going. T-88 sets up overnight at 77 degrees so this could get expensive with kerosene at $2.80 a gallon. Man hours: 1 |
| 76 | Minor Jig Adjustment and Rib 13 Started | 12/3/2006 |
| | Added some guides made from 1 inch pieces of capstrip. This should speed up the process and improve accuracy. Once the jig was set I immediately put together the first side of rib #13. Man hours: 4 |
