| 102 | One of These Ribs is Not Like The Others | 2/4/2007 |
| | With the 24 ribs clamped together it's easy to see how true they are to the profile. I did notice that 2 of them have slightly high and low spots (between 1/32" and 3/64") and it's been gnawing away at me. I'm at the point where after #26 I will update my jig for the vertical struts in the truss. ...So while the jig is in the "standard rib" configuration I think I will do a couple more ribs to clear my conscience. I would really like to move on and get into the tail feathers but I guess I can wait and do a couple more ribs first. After the standard ribs are done only 6 more ribs to go and I can close the wing rib chapter and move on to the next thing. |
